Established on 30 November 1999, the National Economic Council is an Indonesian government advisory body responsible forreviewing strategic programs, assessing macroeconomic developments, and formulating policy recommendations for the President. Its mandate is to support and advise the President in accelerating the implementation of strategic economic policies and priority programs. The National Economic Council plays a central role in evaluating and providing recommendations on key presidential priorities, ranging from strengthening food security and enhancing economic competitiveness to advancing digital government transformation. Through these e orts, the Council seeks to support sustainable economic development and improve the welfare of all Indonesians.
